Using the Glossary

This glossary contains definitions of terms commonly used in the connector industry.

To find a definition, click the appropriate letter on the folder tab and a list of terms that start with that letter will appear on the left. Scroll down the list and click the desired term.

The following symbols and hyperlinks are used in the glossary:

The eye image indicates that there is a picture associated with the term. Click on the eye to see the picture. Click the browser Back button to return to the definition.
The microscope image indicates that there is additional engineering or formulaic information associated with the term. Click on the microscope to see the expanded information. Click the browser Back button to return to the definition.
See The See hyperlink indicates that the term you are looking up is more commonly referred to by another term or acronym. In general, a definition is included only with the term or acronym by which it is most commonly referred to at Premium line. 

For example, the term "Insulation Displacement" has a See link to "IDT," which is where you will find the definition. At Premium line, "IDT" is the way most people refer to insulation displacement technology.

The magnifying glass image indicates a link to the Premium line web site. This link generally displays detailed product information. This link opens the Premium line web page in a new browser window. Be sure to close that window when you return to the glossary.
